Three Timer Circuits

Timer circuits are handy for many experimenters’ laboratory functions, not to mention the photo or PC lab. This kit is another three-in-one in that all three circuits are complete and separate; simply using different types of circuits to do exactly the same job. All come complete with 5 amp relays for controlling pretty significant loads. All may be operated on battery or light weight (9V DC) supply. The advantages and disadvantages of each design are discussed in the text. Educational and useful too.

No. 80-850 Three Timer Circuits
If you need a truly precise, multi-mode timer circuit see no. 80-141; a very versatile unit.)

1 Watt Stereo Amplifier
(Photo shows only the board, but components are included)

An amplifier designed with portability in mind; ideal for battery applications. A full watt from each channel, excellent fidelity. Uses a Samsung KA2209 IC. Small size: the board is 1-3/8" by 2". All basic parts supplied, including PC board; you supply two 8-ohm speakers. We suggest a six volt or nine volt battery pack using AA cells; use D cells if extra long battery life is required. Amplify your CD or Walkman or that special project etc..

No. 80-870 One watt Stereo Amp kit

Stereo VU Meter
This is a very eye appealing audio accessory. Displays an approximate output level for each channel of stereo amplifier. Connects to the speaker terminals; levels are displayed in ten discrete steps. User may select a moving dot bar appearance. Uses two LM3915 IC’s; includes a discussion of measuring audio power.

3 Watt Stereo Amplifier
(Photo shows only the board, but components are included)

The Rohm BA5406 IC is used to make this powerful little stereo amplifier. The entire circuit is on a 1-1/2" x 2-1/2" circuit board. You’ll need to allow added space of 1-1/2" x 1-1/2" x 2-1/2" for the heat sink, plus ventilation for same. In addition to a 12 VDC power supply (batteries), you will need to provide 4 or 8 ohm speakers, cables and a heat sink compound to put between the IC and the heat sink.

For Fun, C.O.B. Project Kits

C.O.B. means "Chip on Board"; and most of the electronics is inside a tiny, application-specific chip,    (integrated circuit), on a PC board. These circuits are fun but won’t be much of a challenge or education as they are so simple; you add a battery and the circuit is ready to go.
No. 80-910 - Four Train Sound Effect.
Ideal for model railroads; produces the whistle, train chugging sound, crossing bell and the ‘clickety-clack of crossing a bridge.
No. 80-920 - Cellular Phone Sound Effects.
Good for a kids toy; imitates the cellular phone sounds perfectly.
No. 80-930 - Assorted Melodies.
Great for kids! Sixteen melodies such as: "Farmer in the Dell", "Hush Baby", "Home on the Range" and other familiar tunes. No. 80-940 - Ambulance, Fire and Police Sounds. Sirens and machine guns and more; great for kids toy! No. 80-950 - Happy Birthday on a Chip. A great item to hide in a package, plays happy birthday repeatedly.

Telephone
Remote Control Switcher

You may call your own phone and switch up to four relays on or off; a four digit code (of your choice) protects against unauthorized use.. The brain of the circuit is a Motorola 68HC705K1; the fully commented source code is provided on a floppy disk. (No programming is required, disk provided for educational purposes or very sophisticated user.) FEATURES: Four relays, independently switchable (or all "off"). Low power consumption: 10mA when idle, 15mA running when no relays are pulled in. Power with 9 to 12 volts DC battery pack or an AC adaptor.

Serial PIC Programmer

(Photo shows only the board, but components are included)

This circuit uses the P16PRO software from Bojan Dobaj (you download from Internet and register for $25). This circuit will program all 8, 18, 28 and 40 pin serial programmable PIC’s. The software will work under DOS or windows. Use the PIX12C5XX, PIC14000, the PIC16CXX series etc., see list. Make or buy an adaptor and you can program 64 pin PIC’s. Here are the PIC’s that this unit will program: PIC12C5XX PIC14000 PIC16C61, 62, 62A, 63. 64, 64A, R64, 65, 65A, 66, 662, 620, 621, 622, 642, 67, 71, 72, 710, 711, 715, 73, 73A, 74, 74A, 76, 77, 84, 923. PICF83, 84. PIC16CC924 PIC16C67X PICCR62, 83,84.
